Places to Visit in and Manipal

Manipal might be a student town which is only around 30km. But with places like Udupi not too far away, there are many places to visit in and around Manipal. Due to Manipal's location, it has easy access to both the sea and the mountains. So here are a few places to visit in your student years. 

(A) Manipal Lake

Manipal Lake is a frequently visited place by every Manipal student. It is the best place to unwind with quite scenery after a hectic day. This place is just 2km from the MIT campus so you can always have an unplanned visit to this place along with your gang. 

(B) End Point 

Watching the sunset or sunrise from End Point will be found in every Manipal student. Endpoint is a beautiful garden with a cliff overlooking the Swarna river. Fun fact about the place, the name came from the fact that the spot was the end of the Manipal University campus during the 60s. 

(C) Kapu Beach 

Kapu beach is just 13 km from Udupi and a hotspot for many movie shots. You can find a picture from Kapu Beach with a lighthouse behind any Manipal student. This beach is perfect for adventure seekers as they even offer beachgoers scuba diving and paragliding opportunities. 

(D) Delta point

Delta Point, also known as Kodi Bengre, is perfect for a beach weekend getaway. This beach is a secluded one, so it is ideal to have an afternoon picnic with your friends and then have a jam with them. The scenery will be quite relaxing as it is just a stretch of water and one of the best places to watch the sunset. 

(E) Gokarna 

Gokarna is the perfect place to visit during the 3rd Saturday long weekend. We can travel to this beach town by train. In this place, you could try surfing and visit Kudle Beach.
